“In just over a year, I dropped from a 3:38 to a 2:56 marathon. That doesn’t happen without a coach like Ives—and a whole lot of fun along the way.”

I started running like many others during the pandemic, originally training for a half marathon that was postponed for two years. I stumbled through training with scattered online advice until I met Ives in 2021. At the time, I was preparing for my first marathon, and she offered simple but powerful advice on long runs and nutrition. That support helped me finish my debut marathon in 3:24, and she quickly became my unofficial coach. Though my next marathons—Berlin and Miami—didn’t go as planned due to a mix of factors, I learned from those setbacks and, with Ives’ guidance, revamped my training with more structure, mileage, and focus. That led to a breakthrough at Chicago 2023, where I ran 3:17 and set my sights on going sub-3.

When I got into NYC 2024, I officially brought Ives on as my coach. Her approach—equal parts strategy, discipline, and joy—helped me stay balanced through travel, life, and tough training blocks. I gave it my all and ran 3:01 on a tough course, just missing sub-3 but gaining something even better: confidence and momentum. Six months later, I ran Eugene 2025, despite setbacks like a chest injury, and finally broke the barrier with a 2:56. I still can’t believe it, but it happened—thanks to Ives’ relentless support, smart coaching, and her ability to make hard work feel fun.

If you’re even considering a race—any distance—Ives is your coach. She meets you where you are, pushes you just enough, and believes in progress over perfection. Her style is direct, supportive, and always rooted in joy. I’m so proud to be one of the original #IvesHotties. - Jose

“The accountability & guidance is priceless!”

Ives is a thoughtful & knowledgeable run coach, with experience & expertise to back her. She’s coached me to two PR’s and has absolutely elevated my training. As a run coach myself, I was hesitant to hire a coach, but I couldn’t recommend Ives enough. Being able to take a step away from my own planning and allowing her to lead the process has pushed me further AND forced me to pull back where it’s needed.

“Her approach is grounded in science, consistently motivating, and—importantly—honest.”

Ives has been a fantastic coach. She knows when to push and when to offer real, constructive feedback. That combination has been exactly what I needed to become a stronger, smarter runner. -Randolph

“She helped me channel the athlete I knew was inside, but didn’t know quite what to do with.”

I came to Ives at a time when I felt lost in most aspects of my life, needing a goal and a challenge to put my energy toward. I had ran one half marathon previously - under fueled, over-trained with 0 sort of structured plan… I knew I never wanted to do that again.
I wanted to try again, but this time in the right way. I made it clear from the beginning that I wanted running to be a part of my life, not my whole life - as an entrepreneur, fitness instructor, and someone who places high value on having fun with a full social life - We worked together to craft a training schedule that made room for it all. It was easy each week - look at the app, run the runs, Ives was there to help pivot and adjust as needed.

Hiring Ives was possibly one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I knew I would learn to run smarter, healthier and faster, but I was unaware of how it would transfer over to other areas of my life. Training with Ives boosted my self confidence, taught me discipline, and humbled me in ways nothing else has. Ives was there for every step - taking my mid-run “I want to quit” calls, knowing when to push me with tough love or ease up with grace, and celebrating every win. Ives doesn’t build plans without a “why” - each run, strength session, recovery, is intentionally planned.

While numbers are the least important part of this testimonial - the results at the end made the this experience even sweeter. I PR’d my half marathon time by 8+ minutes and then went on to BQ my first marathon with a 3:14:57 finish. I have Ives to thank. She helped me channel the athlete I knew was inside, but didn’t know quite what to do with. -Tara
